Our first Ethiopian micro-lot of the season

Our first Ethiopian offering of 2023 comes to us from the Gore Dako washing station in Southern Agaro Gera. This region is home to many well-known washing stations, such as Nano Challa, Nano Genji, and Kolla Bolcha, that have been featured on our menu in previous years. Gore Dako is new to us, first opening in 2019, and we're excited to welcome this fruity, washed coffee to our lineup.
This lot is bright and complex, with a light body, sweet citrus notes, and a floral finish. On the cupping table, we tasted bergamot, floral honey, and pleasing fruited notes, akin to candied citrus, Meyer lemon, and yuzu. It’s everything we look for in a coffee from this region. Dial in with 1:16.5 brew ratio, filtered water at 208-210℉, a medium-coarse grind, and a 3-3.5-minute brew cycle.
